EVC Experiment - Frozen Street Food
This is a packet of the famous Hallelujia Char Kway Teow (fried rice noodles) from Zion Road Hawker Center in Singapore, recently voted by CNN as one of the top 10 dishes in Singapore. It costs $3 and is hugely popular amongst the locals. Never mind that it's 99% carbohydrate.
It is not uncommon for Singaporeans who have been away too long to head straight for a bite of this when they land. I am going to keep this in the freezer. How long do you think it will last and still be able to retain its flavour?

I've no idea their CKT comes in a plastic bag. I prefer them in the fancy palm leaves though.
ReplyDeleteOops, no, of course not. I should clarify that I had wanted to vacuum-pack it but all I'm using here is a ziploc.
ReplyDeleteDon't wait too long or you may get food poisoning!
